Wāhine mā, karawhiua ō poi … The Tira Hoe Waka Committee in conjunction with Te Wānanga o Raukawa are running Poupou Karanga Wānanga. These Wānanga will be held throughout the year commencing first in Hinengakau then Tamaupoko and Tupoho later this year. We are now seeking Wāhine who would like to begin their journey to learn Karanga and the Tikanga associated with Karanga.
It’s an 18 week programme

Noho Marae based (weekend delivery Fri evening to Sun)
Need to be 16 years of age or older
Cannot be a current secondary school student

1. 23-25 June Ngapuwaiwaha, Taumarunui – Te Whāriki
2. 7-9 July Ngapuwaiwaha, Taumarunui – Tuawahine
3. 28-30 July Ngapuwaiwaha, Taumarunui -Te Tū Tamawahine
4. 18-21 August Turangawaewae, Ngaruawahia -Te Whakatau
All students will need to complete an enrolment form
All New enrolments to Te Wānanga o Raukawa must complete the form fully and provide ONE of the following ID:
Full passport, Birth certificate or Marriage certificate
