KĀHUI POU PROJECT MANAGER

Fixed term 6 months (20 November 2017 to 20 May 2018), 20 hours per week.
Location: Raetihi

Do you want to play a part in leading the growth and development of the whānau, hapū and iwi of Uenuku, Tamakana and Tamahaki? Do you have the drive, commitment and skills to make a difference in our communities? We are looking for a talented, innovative and dynamic manager who will be an effective ambassador for Uenuku, Tamakana and Tamahaki, growing our vital and positive relationships with our community, and leading the next phase of development for our people.

The Kāhui Pou Project Manager will support the establishment of three entities that will generate innovative initiatives to achieve the economic, cultural, social, educational and environmental aspirations of the descendants of Uenuku, Tamakana and Tamahaki. Key objectives will be to generate implementation plans, facilitate iwi workshops to determine strategic direction for post-Treaty settlement development, create key documents including trust deeds and policy, secure funding, and build strong and effective relationships with all our stakeholders.

Good planning, management and reporting skills are essential, and you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Competency in Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga is desirable.
