Uenuku are developing a whenua protection team to undertake pest control & environmental management of our rohe and are currently seeking applications for the following full-time positions:

Tiramahi Whenua – Field Crew Workers

1x full-time positions
40 hours a week Monday-Friday

Tauira Mahi Whenua – Field Crew Trainees

1x full-time positions
40 hours a week Monday-Friday

For these positions you will have a passion for protecting the environment, are keen to learn & upskill (all training will be provided), have a full driver’s license along with NCEA Level 1 & 2 qualifications but, most importantly you must not be afraid of hard work and are willing to turn up on time to support your team.

 

Finance/Office Administrator – Te Mano o Te Whenua Tupua (Part Time / 10 hours per week)

Te Mano o Te Whenua Tupua has been established to represent the descendants of Uenuku, Tamakana and Tamahaki.  In keeping with existing  settlement aspirations, it is currently focussed  on developing  its environmental division.

 

Having only been operating for seven months, Te Mano o Te Whenua Tupua  is looking for an experienced and exceptional Finance/Office Administrator on a Part Time basis to join our team at 28 Queen Street, Raetihi, reporting to the Project Manager.

Our team are dedicated, passionate and fully committed to achieving outstanding results across the organisation.

You will be responsible for the Finance/office Administrator duties in relation to our environmental department as well as supporting our health, social and other divisions when these are established. We are looking for someone who is a team player, can adjust focus as necessary and support wherever the need is required.

 Key tasks include:

  • Processing accounts payable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing invoices and supplier payments
  • Assisting with payroll
  • EOM process, to ensure timeliness of reporting
  • Credit Control and customer invoicing
  • Ensuring all Invoicing is captured and accurate
  • Control of day-to-day income and expenditure
  • General office administration duties

Experience:

  • Advanced Xero and Excel skills
  • Previous experience in a similar finance and office administration role
  • Must have practical knowledge and experience of financial office administration tasks
  • Excellent experience using Microsoft Office
