We must acknowledge all those claimants who submitted Waitangi Tribunal claims for Te Tiriti o Waitangi breaches by the Crown — those who have passed on and those who are still with us.
Today, we live with the effects of the losses and mamae, but it is our tīpuna who suffered directly, who were there when their land was taken and when their reo was taken away.
We will be advised of the results following the conclusion of the voting period, noon on the 29th of this month.
