1.MANDATE STRATEGY TO BE FINALISED – we are wrapping up the submissions process by responding to submissions in writing and making changes to our mandate strategy.

2.REGISTRATION DRIVE – the number of registrations received for the past month hit 200. Although a good result, Registrar Kahurangi Simon is asking whanau to contact him if they or their whanau want to register kahurangi@uenuku.iwi.nz 027 7157003

3.ESTABLISHMENT OF CLAIMS COMMITTEE – UCT Trustees are about to call for Expressions of Interests in positions on the Claims Committee. The Claims Committee, a sub-committee will work with UCT to implement the treaty programme. More information to follow soon.

4.STAFF HANDOVER – UCT Office Manager Wendy Epiha has been engaged over the past 4 weeks setting up the office and putting in place systems, policies and procedures. “Wendy’s done a great job and we are lucky to have someone of her calibre helping the iwi” said Steve Hirini, Project Manager. Wendy officially finishes on the 3rd June and will assist Ariana Taura who starts in her new role as Office Manager on Monday 25th May with the induction and handover.
